Naomi's Garden

In 2023 Louth Lions decided to see if there was a local venture which was helping people and that was in need of funding to improve what it was doing to make its services available to more people.  Our members did their own research and investigation in our community and one project that came up was Naomi’s Garden.

Based at Tedder Hall in Manby,  Naomi’s Garden offers conductive educational support for people of all ages who need assistance to help improve their life and prospects. Over 200 individuals of all ages are helped yearly.  With the sale of Tedder Hall, Naomi’s Garden needed to move premises.

Through fundraising activities and personal support from the trustees they managed to purchase a building at the entrance to Tedder Hall but the building was in need of complete refurbishment and renovation to bring it up to a usable standard.

The trustees managed to get support for many local businesses towards the refurbishment. But more help was needed.  This was where Louth Lions came in. We decided to provide a kitchen and the equipment needed to be able to support the educational needs of the clients.

We approached Lions International with details of this project and they deemed it suitable for a matching grant, so doubling our assistance.  In addition a number of local Lions clubs have come to our aid and provided their own contributions.

The refurbished, renovated building is due to welcome its first clients by the end of 2025.
